Giraffes, the tallest animals on the earth, live in the grasslands of Africa. Stretching its long neck, the giraffe eats leaves and twigs from the tops of the thorny trees. Most of a giraffe's day is spend in eating. It's good eye sight and height allows the animal to see the long distances and spot things that are far away. Giraffes can go for sevral days without water getting moisture from the juicy plants they eat. A giraffe's heat can pump 16 gallons of blood in one minute.
